Today, we were all very excited about the train trip to India Institute of Technology in Roorkee. The train ride is estimated to be 5.5 hours and our group will be taking the first train, so we all need to wake up around 4 am to start getting prepared.

Roorkee is located in the northern part of India, and the temperature drops during the night. After the long train ride, we finally arrived at the IIT Roorkee campus. First, we met with the several professors in the Department of Water Resources Development and Management. They briefly went through some of the campus history. We then visited three laboratories: Hydraulics and

We were also planning visits the next day to Haridwar and Rishikesh to see one of the biggest rivers in the world. We were all extremely excited.
