Built in 1975 to house research programs that had stretched beyond SHL’s space, the Hydraulics East Annex (HEA) is IIHR’s oldest research annex. This annex provides important storage and outfitting space for research vessels, and laboratory space for processing the Clear Creek Watershed Observatory soil samples. Certain Mechanical Shop facilities (a machine shop, welding area, and carpentry area) are also located here, along with materials storage space and certain Fluids Teaching Laboratory facilities.
