The Museum of Natural History is coordinating a dig near Oskaloosa Iowa on a family farm. Mammoth bones dating back 10-15k years were discovered by the family along a creek on the property. The land owner has asked not to be identified in an effort to protect the site during the excavations anticipated to last several years.
