Research Data

IIHR generates vast amounts of data every year through myriad research efforts.
IIHR faculty, staff, and student researchers conduct a wide variety of projects every year, which produce vast amounts of useful data. Many of these data are available to other researchers. In order to make these data easily accessible, IIHR has established this repository of research data. We expect to publish more data in the coming months and years.
One data program available to the public is the Iowa Flood Information System (IFIS). IFIS is an online tool maintained by the Iowa Flood Center that shares flood data with the public in near real-time. Stream sensors, rain gauges, flood forecasting, and more come together in IFIS to create an up-to-date map of Iowa’s waterways. IFIS offers current flood conditions, flood forecasts, data visualizations, and flood-related data, information, and applications statewide.
